Seeing students dress up in their favourite pyjamas and onesies, it was evident that the Apollo x Artemis’ Slumber Soirée was starting soon! The Central Plaza began to see colourfully dressed groups streaming in, carrying their event-exclusive Slumber Soirée tote bags and filling the air with chatter and laughter.
Unfazed by the long queues, our Sunshines and Pups partook in the various games to obtain stamps for prizes, and eagerly munched through the mouth-watering food options. As the station-master for the game “AHHHHHH!”, it was definitely a one-of-a-kind sight to see participants shuffling their feet to stop the screaming chickens tied to themeselves from making loud noises, while dodging the blows from the blindfolded person trying to catch them. Spectators were giggling uncontrollably at the spectacle, immersing in the vibrant atmosphere of the slumber party.
Students were given the chance to show off their talents.
The biggest crowd-pleaser of the night would be none other than the talented performers, exuding boundless confidence as they took to the stage with their melodious voices and intricate dance moves. The wide range of food booths neatly lined in the wings was also extremely popular, judging by the long queues in front of each one of them. From fried oreos and churros, to mac & cheese and tater tots, the sheer amount of food choices left little room for complaint.
As the night drew to a close…
But perhaps the most popular area of the night would be the free photobooth, where Apollo-Artemisians could bring home a cute photostrip of themselves with their friends, a piece of memorabilia to remember this event by. By sheer luck, my class got to be the very last group at the photobooth before it closed for the night!
The night was wrapped up with a mass karaoke session!
Lastly, everyone gathered in the Central Plaza for the finale — the rave. It was truly a heartening sight to see everyone, though sweaty and tired, singing their hearts out to the medley of songs specially curated for the night.

Slumber Soirée was beyond doubt, a magical night to remember. It will surely be marked as a spectacular memory in the hearts of all Sunshines and Pups who attended the event.
