A joint effort by HC Art Club, Studio Ardent and HC Calligraphy, Arts Blast not only serves as an opportunity for students to showcase their creative talents, but also a platform to foster a sense of appreciation for the arts within our Hwa Chong community. This aids in our efforts of art education, cultivating creativity and engagement with the arts in our school.

Both C1 and C2s had the chance to engage in 3D cube painting, decorating six sides of a cube together as a class, showcasing each class’ unique energy. These cubes will then be turned into an art installation we can all enjoy. Besides this, each level also has the chance to explore different kinds of medium. In addition, C1 students designed their own tote bags using acrylic paint, while the C2 students created bookmarks using calligraphy and marble dye. Through exposure to different art mediums, this grants students an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the arts, as well as a valuable opportunity to bond with their peers.

Looking forward, there will be an upcoming Arts Bazaar exhibition where it will be showcasing works from Art Club, Chinese Calligraphy, Studio Ardent, and other Hwa Chong students from 12 - 21 May!
